Well I attempted my first Teacup Nursery today and there were many lessons learned.
1. Need to learn how to eyeball the amount of floral foam that it takes to fill a teacup!
2. Loose moss goes everywhere!
3. Need things to add to the nursery!
Things I have bought today for the nurseries:
1. More houses.
2. More moss.
3. Railroad moss.
4. Mulberry flowers.
5. Butterflies.
6. Polymer flowers.
7. Polymer faeries.
8. Railroad trees.
These were definitely fun and easy. Definitely need to do a few things differently the next time around that's for sure. The moss needs to be adhered somehow. Thinking that I will pre-glue it onto a piece of regular copy paper that way all the wires for the decorations can easily poke through it. I would like to have different critters then just bunnies but at the moment can't think what else? Can't wait to see the little faeries. Depending on how they look will completely change the look as I will no longer be adding the little houses and it will just be a wee little faerie in a flower garden (technically still a nursery though).
A Faerie Nursery!!
Our nursery is certainly not your everyday garden by any means.
As if mingled with the seeds sprinkled in an ornamental garden...which have been dipped in hues
of a coloured rainbow...kissed with aroma of a midsummer's bouquet...bringing a breathtaking
and magical feel that can only be found in our enchanted nursery.
Welcome to the nursery..... www.faerienursery.com

Back Home
Well after a 10 day trip down south to do a massive shopping spree I can guarantee you the nursery is well stocked all the way from new tools, wires, decorations, clear baubles and over 1000 flower heads.
A big thank you goes out to Sherry for her great printing job. We now have our 'adoption papers', disclaimer forms and box labels all ready to be cut.

Slippers for everyone :)
As the nursery likes to be visitor friendly,
I thought it would be nice to have slippers available for guests.
A new book by Faye Durston for inspiration :)
Much needed supplies.
New paints for the company colours and my favourite paint brushes
Pretty coloured wires for bodies!!
Plastic baubles for a new project (it's still a secret)
More wooden boxes for the trinkets to be stored in.
I managed to buy the next size up as well for larger doors.
Floral foam for the teacups.
Lots of new yarns for faerie hair.
I managed to find the most interesting textures.
And finally but certainly not the least.....over 1000 flower heads!
While in the hotel room I was able to separate most of them into their own little baggies
but as I continued shopping I finally ran out of time.
The next few nights will see me getting these flowers ready to be sorted.
