Oh no! How could I forget? It's just a few hours away.

on the eve of International Faerie Day the nursery seems to be in such a kerfuffle, in such a commotion, in such a bustle, in such a flurry that one can really make no sense of it at all, mind you we are dealing with faeries so who knows

i'm not too sure about you...

but know and not knowing what is going on certainly leaves ones imagination to run wild

The Art of Mis-managing Time

well,

look at this, i just looked back and my last blog posting was done the day after my birthday.  now granted that really isn't such a bad thing.  the bad thing was that, that was mid September.

so, as i will be bold enough to say, that i think the trophy for the  "art of mis-managing"  should go to me (insert smiley face here).  hmmmm, Blogger doesn't seem to have a smiley face option so i will just need to add in a sad face along with the above noted smiley face.     :(    :)

and, well, what really has been happening since September?  with some of you knowing and as others will now know that the nursery is oh so gently being packed away for the big move that the nursery is actually kind of a mess.  and so, i can use this excuse on why you, and me for that fact, can't see the floor, the table, the other table, oh, and don't forget the other table that has the sewing machine and serger sitting on it, and those 4 mini shelves.  i know that i'm missing so many of the places that i could have put things on, but ummm, they seem to be piled full with other stuff so they really can't be counted in as have a spare space or two to actually put anything else on them.  but hey good news, the computer hasn't been lost.  with this news of the whole packing thing, don't think that my time that i have for working here in the nursery is anyway been put aside.  come to think of it, i think i just might be spending even more time in the nursery.

i will admit to my  "at this time"  be my favourite, of favourites thing to do, is Instagram.  at the beginning i had only started exploring photos from the nursery, the faeries, the steps to make faeries and the such but now, well now, it sure has changed not just the look but the topics and thoughts that i put to the photos.

as, i know a blog or two ago, i had figured that i would try to update this blog with my 'once' 'thought of the day' and Instagram pictures, and as you can see that i have completely missed this whole step.  as with the Instagram program i have the option of sharing with our Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr accounts.  with each posting, i have always chosen all 4 of these venues to showcase the nursery.  now i just need them to create a direct link to this Blogger account and that would be fantabulous.  with Instagram updating all of these sites automatically, i am creating hash tags (and probably completely incorrectly) to try to have them noticeable.  of course, as you can tell, my 'thought of the day' and then my 'thought of the week' and then my 'random thought' has fallen completely by the road side, i was hoping to have my Instagram postings fill this void on our Facebook page.

i'm thinking that i need to do a few alarms and notices and, and, and the such to remind myself that i need to do a blog write up.  maybe that might help.  or, then again, you could just remind me every once in awhile.

well, before i really start my day, i will do 2 Instagram photos right now under the 'photo' tab.

i hope you enjoy your day.  oh, and with the cold weather just around the bend please, please, please don't catch the sniffles as i've heard that sneezing, sniffles and/or coughing kinda kicks up and creates a whole cloud like shape of faerie dust.  and no, it just doesn't gently fall down to the ground, no it goes everywhere.  and like i just don't mean everywhere as in everywhere, i mean in like EVERYWHERE!

love,
me

and the time is Tuesday, August 11, 2015 @ 11:47 mdt

hmmm,

memories?
memories?

i'm really starting to think that they actually do go poof, memories that is.

glancing through my last few blog postings, did i just dream that i had written to you that i was going to start to do a blog posting along with updating either/both 'the thought' and 'the photo' tabs? huh, looks like i might have but i just can't find it.

even though these photo and quotes might not have anything to do with the nursery, faeries, flowers, or pretty things in general, i'm starting to think that i'm just doing things that happens to suits my fancy of that day. everything that just seems to pop into my noggin is what i share with you. not too sure if this exactly what i should be doing here, here on the blog, on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and the list goes on but it sure suits me.    :)

i'm thinking that i want to change the title of blog:
journal? nah, too formal.
diary? nah, too much like i'm hiding it in-between my mattresses.
notebook? nah. i think that there is a movie with this exact name.
chronicle? that so is not a nursery sounding title, so that is a resounding nah.
daybook? nope.
reminiscences? nope. as i don't figure that i will ever get to spell that word without the help of spellcheck that this one must become again, nope.
confession? well, nah.
memoir? getting way off topic here this isn't supposed to be about me but about faeries and the such, so nope.
calendar?
daily?
note?
observation?
well, figure i just might have to do a bit more research on this. how about i get back to you?  this thing about 'that fancy of the day' thing will kick in will help me chose the perfect title. since i absolutely love my saved to the desktop link 'thesaurus.com' i'm sure that i'll find a few more adjectives for titling this page.

okay, we have established that i have no memory. yes, we/you already know/knew that. but onto other topics. i have realized that 'the thought' page is up-to-date but then so far behind it's not funny.

okay, we have established that i have no memory. yes, we/you already know/knew that. but onto other topics. i have realized that 'the photo' page is so not up-to-date and that i really do have a lot of work to do,  like adding another 13 photos, to be exact, well as of this afternoon of Tuesday, August 11, 2015 @ 11:47 mdt. as i've been finding that i've been updating my Instagram account in the middle of the night, and that this is how i know that there will no more to share right now.

so i'm now off to do an update on 'the photo' tab so not only was this a weird blog post but it was about figuring out needs to be done to the tab pages, finding the perfect title for this action of writing and again that whole thing called 'memories'.

as with 13 photos there is no way that i am going to show them here, so do go and check out the photo's that i have/haven't share with you. if i happen to again fall behind, you can always find the latest pictures on the nursery's Instagram, Facebook and Flickr accounts.

be ready to be awed by my amazing talent, ha ha ha, of taking pictures and writing little snippets of poetry for them.

and well, that's it. i hope that all of your breathtaking memories bring a smile to your face today and tomorrow. as i know that mine do.

Handling It??

Life is full of everything...

Inundated with the most mundane chore ...

Twirling into a tailspin...

Lost with too many places to go...

Can you stop it? Life I mean, can you just stop it? Time I mean, can you just stop it?

So, now let's go back to that exact moment in time...

Would you, could you have what it takes??

Would you, could you even survive?

Would you, could you even think that you could walk that path?

Would you, could you ask a friend to help?

Or better yet, do you want to go.

Now again, let's go back to that exact moment in time...and it's time to play truth and dare...

What to do when time stops

A moment of enrapture?
A moment of alienation?
A moment of challenge?
A moment of devastation?
A moment of awakening?
A moment of forlornness?
A moment of peacefulness?

A moment in time....

When the Future Becomes the Past

Today is when this moment of the future stands still to become the past.

Today is when even countries become divided within themselves.

Today is when the world goes from up to down.

Today is when yesterday becomes the new now.

Today is when the bottom and the top work side by side.

Today is when the sun shines for one more working hour.

Today is the when the seasons welcome the next.

Today is when autumn wards off winter.

Today is when spring lets the summer come earlier (antithetical of today).

Today is when the hands of a clock are dictated by the spinning of a globe.

This day (or to be exact, within a week or so) is unique, well, twice a year it is unique. Today is known as Daylight Saving Time. This is when time falls back and subsequently when time springs forward late March (or to be exact, within a week or so).

This time change is known as Daylight Saving Time. Working hand in hand with both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres of the world, today exchanges one full hour into either the past or the future.

Known as the way to make better use of the natural daylight by setting your clocks back by one hour in the fall and by setting your clocks forward by one hour in the spring. Please note that it does not actually ADD an hour of daylight to the day but it gives a more usable hour of daylight. Thusly the saying of 'spring ahead and fall back'.

Daylight Saving Time originated in Germany, well, Germany was first to implement this unparalleled change to time. It was actually first proposed by Benjamin Franklin in 1784 but it wasn't until George Vernon Hudson from New Zealand in the year 1895 when today's modern Daylight Saving Time become the norm. It took another 21 years for the first country to implement this amazing shift of time. On April 30, 1916 the hands of a clock was set forward at 11:00 pm (23:00).

The one hour time change was never set in stone throughout the ages. There has been a full gamut of documented shift changes from 20 minutes all the way up to 2 hours.

Those countries that participate in this remarkable phenomenal jump can be divided by the strangest standards. Even different sections of these countries do not recognize this change of time.
In Australia, Canada and the United States, uses a different name for these special hours in today's society. The DST - Daylight Saving Time is ofter referred to Savings with an 's'. It is perceived that this extra 's' became the norm as it is a common expression in our vocabulary, for example - a savings account. In the United Kingdom these hours are commonly referred to BST, British Summer Time, or 'Summer Time'. They term Winter Time, is used for standard time, or the time without DST. The term Summer Time can even be seen in various bills and Acts, including 'Summer Time Act of 1916, the Summer Time Act of 1925 and the Summer Time Act of 1972.

There are approximately 70 countries that utilize Daylight Saving Time. Japan, India and China of the major industrialized countries do not observe some form of the DST. In China itself, they had in place a single time zone until 1980, when they adopted DST during the years of 1986 to 1991. They once again returned to the single time zone that is used today. 'Sommerzeit' is the term used for 'Summer Time' in Germany. April 1916, the German Federal Council decreed the DST be instituted as a wartime measure.

The countries nearest to the equator or tropical countries do not generally exercise this change of time. Since the hours of actual sunlight cannot be observed to change dramatically between seasons there is really no advantage to moving the hands of a clock.

The use of DST can be dissolved even within a country itself. In Canada for example, the province of Saskatchewan established The Time Act of 1966. Even though this province is located within the Mountain Standard Time (MST) that runs between the prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan to Manitoba. Previously the question of 'time' was the responsibility of each municipality under the Cities Act and the Towns Act of the day. This new Time Act of 1966 brought together all of the uses of MST, CST and DST into one time. The time of Central Standard Time which does not recognize any changes of time itself. Now if you were to look to the province of Manitoba, even though it is within the Central Time Zone, it acknowledges the use of CST and CDT, Central Standard Time and Central Daylight Time.

When looking at an actual chart from all of the countries world wide, some do not only observe DST but they have adopted different dates, even months of when these changes take place. Making DST a unique change of time worldwide.

So if you live in a country, a state, a province that uses the time unit of Daylight Saving Time...I hope you celebrate that one full extra hour of useable sunlight, even if it is that nice feeling of being able to snooze in bed before your alarm goes off when you have to start your day.

The Release?

As I have had not much umph for creating over this past summer and I have sooo many interesting creations, different designs and even a full new line of faeries...I promise that they will slowly start to be released over the next few weeks.

Now, I do know that I have missed my prime goal of having these wee ones ready for the holiday gift giving season but you know what, faeries are faeries, they don't conform to what we humans call a calendar. They just are! Faeries are like mysterious critters that just show up. They don't have a need for a time schedule! Now I am sure that some faeries are very notorious and very precise in their ways that really do need some type of a watch but I am sure that it doesn't resemble anything like what we humans use. This in itself is what makes faeries still an enigma. They have their world, one that when they want to, they share with us. Perhaps only through misty apparitions. Perhaps through sleepy dreams. Perhaps through a sentence that came out not at all how it should have. Perhaps by stealing away 'time' in your busy day by not letting you focus on anything.

So with that all said....this first limited Holiday Edition 2014 - Candy Cane is ready to finally be shown. She has been playing here in the nursery for a few weeks already but she has her own timetable, one that even I cannot mess with. Faeries are Faeries!

Introducing Candy Cane...

O Time, Time, wherefore art thou Time?

Okay, sorry William Shakespeare for altering, thrashing, destroying, let alone stealing your most beloved lines and words....

William Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet: Act 2, Scene 2, Lines 33-36

            Juliet
33       O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
34       Deny thy father ad refuse thy name;
35       Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
36       And I'll no longer be a Capulet

Okay...and then looking at my iMac dictionary there is no listing under my dictionary, thesaurus, Apple or Wikipedia to let me know exactly what, who or how is a Capulet...YAYAYAY Thank you Mr. Internet...Capulet was Juliet's last name!!

Off to the actual scene again to see if I can figure it out there (gssssshhhh who knew that Romeo and Juliet was so hard to read...and yes, I'm that one that missed out on this grand best work ever by William Shakespeare and ended up with The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet and Macbeth throughout my high school years...oh but wait...there is more to this story...wait for it, wait for it...I got some of the best marks for my studies in Macbeth, so not all was a waste of time).

So, onto what, where, when and who...okay we already know who...time is who...the what, where and when is what I want to know...where did they/it go??

Please take this posting as an apology from me...as I really wanted to get my 'Thought of the Day' graphics up today for the next few weeks...but alas, it did not happen.

But hey....it does give you something to look forward to? Yes, oh yes, in deedy do it does :)

Signing off for now for a much needed sleepover away from the Nursery. Please do send me a message if you would like something passed along to Pixie Heather and I will for sure send it forward.

Loves you all...
Night night, sweet sleep, my Faeries...sweet sleep.
Good morning, good morning, sweet play, my Faeries...sweet play.

The New TAB??

As our Facebook page will be closing down as of Friday, August 22, 2014 I thought that perhaps all of the hard work that I put into the 'Thought of the Day' postings shouldn't just be deleted and never seen again!

Hence the new TAB...Quotes!

I am still pondering over the idea of including the tidbit of information, rant or just plain talk along with the quote itself and the graphic that I created for it. As some of my postings can being taken as being quite humorous and others possibly on the verge of being liken to a being preached to though religion, wicca and well my views and ideals of the world.

As time is definitely running out my decision will need to happen over the next day or two...oh no...the pressure is on!!!  ARGGGGGGG

The Ultimate Change-over...

I have decided to change my blog hosting site from Blogger to my own website of www.faerienursery.com

For the ease and practicality of having so many sites that I have to update and monitor it was just a matter of time.

I will be keeping this blog as it is now my archive and there is a link to it on my actual website, both on the home page and on the tabbed blog page site.

Shawn was able to move over my countdown for the International Faerie Day and it can be found closer to the bottom of the home page.

He was also able to set up a 'follow by email' link on the blog page and he is currently working out the logistics of seeing if can get the Google links added as well.

I would like to thank everyone who is following me here and in the same breath invite you to my blog page.
