Finding Colour

once upon a time, i was really good at posting a graphic (quote) daily and then weekly and then now it seems like never.

i can make all of the excuses that i/one can think of -- moving/packing, social media, craft fairs, a life??

but it really comes down to me feeling moved, feeling that spark, feeling inspired with finding that one quote that i must have remembered in that one fleeting moment in time. a pause in time that i took to share, share through a graphic, share through a creation, share through a dream.

so here i am -- not back on track, not daily, not weekly, and probably kinda never (not really never but you get the drift) -- here is a quote by Teresa Jordan that i want/wanted to share.

with Etsy the protocol when featured in a Treasury is to ('heart') like all of the other artist's photos that they have collected but this process, well it almost feels like it is only a formality of politeness.

but how can you combat the rules, the contract, the obligation? well i Blog, i Twitter, i Google +, i Pinterest, i Facebook, i Website it (i'm pretty sure that i do more but well those are the ones that i can see on my saved tabs above).

The missing link!

I know, I know...how on earth do I think that I can keep social media alive?

I agree, that even though there are so many wonderful sites and pages that I speak to everyday (okay, just for my sanity and yours, I leave out Saturday and Sunday) and share not only thoughts but photos as well.

So, it may look like I am not loving you...it might look like I have neglected you...and certainly you must thought by now, why on earth does she even have a Blogger page.

But, please do believe me when I say, 'Hello' to each and everyone of you, and even everyday (well, except for weekends, that were discussed on the second above paragraph...but incase you have decided to just skip or even just scan this page and might have accidentally missed this part...I will once again repeat...{sorry to those that have to read this whole thing again...I speak to everyday (okay, just for my sanity and yours, I leave out Saturday and Sunday}).

It may only be for a quote (that has really pretty and well thought out graphics (yes this was a plug for my own work and for teaching myself Photoshop Elements} ) for everyone to enjoy....

Sometimes, you comment and even share these quotes which really really really make me humbled and proud of what I have decided to do on a daily bases and well again, to repeat myself for a third time (I speak to everyday (okay, just for my sanity and yours, I leave out Saturday and Sunday).

Hmmmm....see, I really am kinda busy...and I have not forgotten you by any means.

Being Back But It Seems Like I Never Left?

Once again, the company's Facebook page has been re-opened I guess that might be the right wording to use?

I guess when you leave you hope to come back to a clean slate...sigh...unfortunately everything is exactly where I left it.

Previously one of the reasons that I had left, besides not being appreciated so to say about my art...were all of the 'false' likes that had started 'following' my page. Now, granted some of these I might have invited myself by joining sites that shared your pages with others but there is no way that I could have done all of these 2715!

I did notice though that when I put on freebies or a giveaway...and even ones that I had actually paid to have advertised, there were only a handful of entries from people that I even knew, some had been on my page previously and most/all people that had entered were out for  'the free buck' so to say.

With all of the above reasons I shut down Facebook altogether. I gave my closing date...even said goodbye. I did postings for almost 2 weeks on how everyone...anyone (please) could keep in touch, follow along, maybe even leave a comment or two.

Well, that all completely fell through! I had one or two FB friend's that followed our Instagram account, oh wait...those one or two also had visited here as well...and well ummm....ummm... ummm....Can you understand now why I felt the need to just go away?

I think perhaps the best way to deal with all of this nonsense is that I might look into just starting a new page? That might help, so to say...weed out those that aren't interested in my Enchanted Pathways Faerie Nursery.

As of today, well...maybe this weekend...this will be my goal. What is the point of having 2715 'like's' when I don't exist anyways?

Now, for those of you that have taken the time to listen, to read, to look at all of the pretty pictures, have visited our Website, Instagram, Flickr, Google+, Tweeter, Pinterest...well you get the idea...thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Actually, I don't think I can ever say thank you enough.

The Quiet Voice That Demands (Needs) To Be Heard

Hello followers of this blog and my Facebook Faeries...

I need you all to know that I am okay. I am still here and that I am still actively promoting my nursery but through other means.

I am still VERY hurt over the Facebook blocking more than I had ever thought I would be. My pride, my company, my heart and my soul were put out there for all to see everyday since creating this Facebook page. It had become my life where I devoted hours every day trying to be seen. Trying to be found in amongst millions upon millions (over 500,000,000 million as of October 3, 2013) of pages.

I will continue to keep my vow of silence until I feel that I am ready to bear my soul for all to see. It truly is like being naked (am I allowed to use that word or will it shut me down again) (is someone going to find it disgraceful, rude, explicit or hurtful).....guess I had best watch my wording.....continue to be open to the public for viewing.

I have been very active on my Twitter and Instagram (which are directly linked to my Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr and Facebook pages). I have opted not to post these little snippets to Facebook.....well because frankly......I can't see the point of it right now.

I wil be back......I will at least be posting my 'Thought of the Day' starting tomorrow (Monday, July 21, 2014) but other than that......I will not allow anyone to see the pain I'm feeling....Happy thoughts.....Happy thoughts.

I am staying on top of other postings......following a few and even commenting on a couple that are from my personal page only. Those are family and friends that are the closest to me and really have their best intentions and well wishes for me. Not to hurt those few 'real' people in the cyber world and I am happy and blessed to call as my wee Faerie Nursery friends. To those, I am truly sorry for my silence but please be patient, I need a bit more time to heal.

If you do have links to the following groups, I do encourage you to follow the continued antics of the nursery......like the blister with the Superman bandaid, the mew mew who thinks that the best place in the house to lay.....is on a bed made of flowers...

I am really sorry for this silence and I hope that you will understand the reasoning behind it.

On one further note, to my 2764 (fans, followers, friends)......as of right now, I will no longer be participating in any of the other group pages......no more ladders, no more hoping that I can be seen on another page by spending hours upon hours on the computer for what.......more faces that will never look twice at my page and press the button that says 'unfollow'. I will now dedicate my time to you, to those of you that take the time to read postings like this. To those of you who know what I must be going through. To those of you that understand, my page is about a Faerie Nursery......what is so offensive about that??

Yes, I hurt like crazy......and as the tears now start to roll again.....this is all for me today.

The Ultimate Change-over...

I have decided to change my blog hosting site from Blogger to my own website of www.faerienursery.com

For the ease and practicality of having so many sites that I have to update and monitor it was just a matter of time.

I will be keeping this blog as it is now my archive and there is a link to it on my actual website, both on the home page and on the tabbed blog page site.

Shawn was able to move over my countdown for the International Faerie Day and it can be found closer to the bottom of the home page.

He was also able to set up a 'follow by email' link on the blog page and he is currently working out the logistics of seeing if can get the Google links added as well.

Favourites...

Wow, I was just able to add two more companies to my Favourites tab!

As this tab is still pretty new and something that I am actually taking great pride in doing, I thought I should share a bit about it here, through a blog posting.

The original idea came from T&D Designs. They often welcome their Facebook followers to join along and that is how I found the idea. The intent is to hopefully drive like minded folks to their page and perhaps to find a new friend or two along the way.

So, my take on the idea is that if you are interested in joining, which no strings attached (and no promises of course) this is what I will do for you. I will review your site, a webpage, Facebook, E-commerce site and I will do a short write up about you or your product. I will include links to your home page and at least one other page if you participate in other social media sites. If you happen to offer something for sale, I will choose my personal favourite and tell you why I love it so. Once I have completed my write up, I will then post it on my company Facebook, mention the update on my website and will Tweet about it too.
