Nutcrackers

So....I have kind of changed my mind as time has gone on.

Originally I was going to go and buy 'themed' decorative nutcrackers for each of the kids for their Gift Bags....but as these would be very impractical and not to mention expensive....I found these instead and ordered them from Jolly Ole England!!

Antique Victorian Iron Nut Crackers dating back
to the early 19th Century.

Charming are they not?

Another package arrived in the mail today :)

This one was filled with the charms for the wine glass charm project. As this initial order was to evaluate size, quality and quantity required, I am now in a better position to place a larger order.

I would like to thank Lois7374 (ebay) for this order.

The Nutcracker - these are actually larger than I thought they would be, but the detail is awesome :)

The Sugarplum Faerie - yes she's nude, but that's how they come!!

The Pear - these are just beautiful

And for next year...The Honey Bee - symbolized by the Beehive with two adorable little bees on the front.

Glycerine Soap Making

Just ordered the soap molds from cybrtrayd (ebay) for the 4 themes along with some glittery lustre stuff to make the soap all pretty.

I have put in a request to find fragrances to match the themes from a variety of suppliers.

The Nutcracker Prince

Honeybee (I will continue to look for a beehive mold as well)

Wine Glass Charms

I haven't decided whether these will come in sets of 4 or 6 yet. They will all have the same charm but will have different coloured beads to allow for distinction between glasses.

Nutcracker Klik's

Wow, well that was fast. James from 'price3264' has already confirm my purchase for another 12 Nutcracker Klik's :)

He also mentioned that he has the Disney Faerie's in a Pez Dispenser. Now as these are not technically the Sugar Plum Faerie.....they are faeries though! I am seeing what he is willing to offer me for a price on purchasing 12 of them :)

Well James just got back to me! He has dropped the price in HALF! Wow....awesome....so I will place my order for them as well.

Bucilla Felt Stockings

So, these are not going to be the easiest things to make and I may to decide whether I want to make all 8 of them or not. Mind it is only January!!

I would like to send a thank you out to Mary for all of her help and wonderful assistance in my first ebay.ca purchase.

Please see her site at: http://stores.ebay.ca/Calleycats-Treasure-Chest

For the ladies....The Sugar Plum Fairie

And for the gents...The Nutcracker Trio

The Nutcracker Prince

Now as some of these gifts get a very personalized touch -- well for the kid's that is :) -- it will take awhile for me to collect all of the nutcracker princes' needed to fill 20 gift bags this year.

But I do have a start on them now. I found in a local store 6 music box nutcrackers. There are 3 styles in total..see below pictures

I have decided for those packages that need to be mailed out, I will look for hanging ornament sizes to ease with the shipping costs.

As far as the kids go......I will be purchasing nutcrackers made by Kurt S. Adler. Now as these are all collectables only I will have to purchase regular nutcrackers as well :) Please visit his site to see the outstanding work that goes into making these nutcrackers.  http://www.kurtadler.com/

Matthew will be receiving a Captain James T. Kirk nutcracker....

Karl will be getting Snoopy from the Peanuts cartoon

Ryan....well he loves Winnie the Pooh

As I find more/purchase more I will post pictures
